The Live Healthy Iowa track meet was held Monday at Linduska Field hosted by Jefferson Park and Recreation. There were 31 participants in the meet.
The following participants won their event and will travel to Marshalltown to compete on Saturday, June 22.
• 7/8 girls softball throw – Karli Kinsey-Rudolph
• 7/8 boys softball throw – Jase Haley
• 9/10 boys softball throw – Chase Fecher
• 9/10 girls softball throw – Ella Jensen
• 11/2 girls softball throw – Evelyn Snyder
• 7/8 girls standing long jump – Annabelle Sanders
• 9/10 boys 50 meters – Asher Winkelman
• 7/8 girls 100 meters – Ava Hinote
• 11/12 girls 100 meters – Kaliyah Minnihan
• 9/10 boys 400 meters – Collin Russell
• 7/8 boys standing long jump and 50 meters – Koen Thompson
• Boys 9/10 standing long jump and 100 meters – Zach Stalder
• 7/8 girls 50 meters and 200meters – Madisen Christensen
• 11/12 girls standing long jump, 200 meters and 400 meters – Kaycee Pittman
The boys and girls from the high school track teams were available to help along with coaches Chad Morton and Derek Merk. We had several community volunteers who help with the meet. “We would be unable to do this in an organized fashion without the help,” said JPRD director Vicky Lautner.
